B-town celebs like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon among others made an appearance at the much talked about show and this year wasn't supposed to be any different. Or so the audience thought.

In a long post written on his Facebook page, Gupta penned down his experience of the IIFA 2017. He has revealed the fraudulent marketing technique used by the organisers to attract the audience.
He also attached the pictures and videos of the some other attendees and how the package they bought for the show, was never fulfilled. In the photos, posted by IIFA organisers, to attract audiences, promised to get Hollywood stars Matt Damon, Julia Roberts for their show.
Not just that but they also carried Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra's photos on the posters of their show, claiming that two stars would be performing at the show.
Apart from that, around 200 kids were asked to pay $300-$500 in return of getting a chance to dance with Salman Khan during a practice session. The kids waited for as long as 7-8 hours for three days, only in a hope to meet the superstar. However, Khan didn't turn up until the last day.

Gupta also claimed that the VIP ticket holders weren't accommodated according to their package.
"People with expensive VIP tickets were told that they will walk the green carpet . They got the best dresses out and came excited... just to see they are walking in a poorly lit alley with a small carpet area which was completely separate from the area where the stars were walking," he revealed.
"Several friends bought $2500 and $5000 dollar tickets and supposed to have included pre-event VIP cocktail per advertised package. They were rightly pissed off to see that there was no cocktail reception and that they had to stand in line to buy an overpriced beer and finger snacks inside," he added.
