40 staffers ready to beat hepatitis
Free screening, vaccination and treatment to be provided to the community

A six-day training course of the first batch of staff hired for clinics being established under the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute's Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Programme (PKLI-HPTP) started on Sunday at the PKLI site on Bedian Road.
Fighting hepatitis: Free medicines for patients at home
The HPTP programme is a flagship initiative of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif through which the government of Punjab is collaborating with PKLI&RC to set up and run hepatitis clinics in 36 districts of the province. Free screening, vaccination and treatment will be provided to the community through these facilities.
More hepatitis filter clinics will be established across province: CM
The trainees, who attended the programme, included medical officers, nursing staff and other paramedics. In the first batch, nearly 40 trainees attended the session and vowed to eliminate hepatitis and to take forward the vision of a hepatitis-free Pakistan.
