Football: Internacional sack coach
Inter have struggled to defend their title this season, steering perilously close to elimination at the group stage.
RIO DE JANEIRO:
South American champions Internacional of Brazil have sacked coach Celso Roth, with the club’s Vice-President Roberto Siegmann blaming Roth’s relationship with the team’s supporters as a major cause of the move.
“The deterioration in Celso’s relations with the fans was one of the factors that motivated our decision,” said Siegmann.

Roth took over from Jorge Fossati ahead of the semi-finals of last season’s competition and won the trophy but failed in December to steer Inter into the final of the Club World Cup.
