Finn vows to fight for Test spot
England fast-bowler Steven Finn determined to reclaim his place in time for Test series against India and Sri Lanka.
LONDON:
England fast-bowler Steven Finn is determined to reclaim his place in time for the Test series against India and Sri Lanka.
Finn was England’s leading wicket-taker after three Tests of the Ashes series, but was rested for the fourth match, and his replacement, Tim Bresnan did well and was retained for the final Test.
The 22-year-old paceman now plans to use Middlesex as a springboard to thrust his name back into the selectors’ thinking.
“I have to fight to get my place back in the England team,” said Finn. “I am well aware of that fact and I relish the challenge — the need to win my place back will spur me on for Middlesex.”
