The trailer of 'Harry Met Sejal' reminds us of some iconic films and we're not complaining!

The movie vibrate the signature Imtiaz Ali style; fast paced millennials discovering love in terbulant ways

The official trailer of Shah Rukh-Anushka starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal is out and the aesthetics of the glimpses from the movie literally scream the signature style of Imtiaz Ali; fast-paced millenials discovering love in wrecking, terbulant ways against the backdrop of multiple breath-taking locations peppered with the right amount of desi flair.



The movie seems to share nothing more than the title with the 80s Hollywood romance When Harry Met Sally, as the trailer reveals a very different narrative. The lead actor is a tour guide, we are told with words flashing, "When a tour guide is lost" in the first few seconds of the trailer. Anushka, on the other hand is an engaged woman who is looking for her lost ring and the two cross paths - and share a series of adventures.



Apart from the grabbing glimpses of Anushka effortlessly pulling off a Gujrati girl paired with a, what appears to be nonchalant Punjabi boy, nothing much else really stood out as too original.

It is reminiscent of many iconic scenes from Jab We Met and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, not to mention that there is a two decade age gap between the lead actors - but you really can't tell because the duo's chemistry is so on point.

Whether Jab Harry Met Sejal breaks from the stereotypical two-dimensional characters and a predictable story line, is something only time can tell.
