KARACHI: Another spell of rain with lightning is expected in Karachi for a few days from today (Saturday), according to a forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The chief meteorologist of the Sindh Met office, Abdul Rashid, said light rain is expected in Karachi today, adding that the southern regions of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin and Tharparkar districts will also receive rain today.

'Rain will continue with similar intensity’

Rashid further said the current system of rain will persist for no more than a few days, after which a new system of rain will enter Pakistan from the Indian state of Gujarat.

In the past two weeks, rain has been pouring excessively in lower parts of Sindh including Karachi, causing the weather to cool down with the maximum temperature falling down to 30º Celsius.
