Amid possible defections, PML-Q fighting for survival

If the project had not been delayed by Shehbaz Sharif, it would have been completed in 2010. This was said by Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Thursday.

Done and dusted: Half of Karachi-Hyderabad motorway complete

He said restoration of Sialkot-Lahore Motorway project proved that PML-Q’s decision of initiating the mega project was the right move. Pervez Elahi maintained, “Our government started the motorway project in 2006 at a cost of Rs23 billion. If Shehbaz Sharif had not created hurdles, it would have been completed on time without incurring huge loss to the national exchequer.”
