Wife seeks divorce as husband gets fired from job.
BADLI SHARIF:
A man’s wife left him a week ago and sought a divorce because he was fired from his job.
According to Chak-9 resident Haroon Solangi, his wife Kashmala had left him the day after he was fired from his job and sought a divorce.
Haroon said that his wife and her father Maqsood had inserted a special clause in the marriage contract stipulating that if his income ever dropped below Rs10,000, she could leave him.
“She left me the day after I was fired and didn’t even wait for me to find another job,” he said.
Haroon said that he had been searching for a job for a week and that he and Kashmala had been married for over a year.
Haroon said that he would contest the divorce. “He can’t do anything. He signed the contract and my daughter doesn’t want to live with him,” Maqsood said.
Kashmala’s lawyer Naveed Jalal said that the marriage contract was clear and that Haroon had no legal basis to contest the divorce.
