Violators to be punished: Motorcyclists urged to wear helmets
He said strict action would be taken against those breaking the rules including fines and confiscation of motorbikes.

The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Yousaf Ali Shahid on Sunday urged motorbike riders to use a helmet to avoid fatal accidents. “It [helmets] prevent fatal or serious injury,” he added. In a statement, he said that strict action would be taken against those not observing the rules including the imposition of fines and even confiscation of motorbikes. The police chief said that wardens were performing their duties with dedication to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the city’s main roads. He said that traffic police was making efforts to regulate the flow of traffic on Murree Road. Shahid stressed that drivers should follow the line, zebra crossings to avoid accidents.
