VC advises to come up with quality research
Says universities are meant to create knowledge, produce trained manpower to provide solutions to issue

The researchers should come up with problem-solving research and indigenous solutions to challenges being faced in societies and industries, said University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.
He was addressing an appreciation ceremony for technology development funds winners arranged by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization, University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Saturday.
He urged researchers to take all possible steps to produce the quality research that would be beneficial for mankind. He said the universities were meant to create knowledge, produce trained manpower and provide solutions to the issue in order to move the country towards the development and prosperity.
Expert from US Dr Muhammad Naeem said quality education and research were vital to alleviate poverty and bring prosperity. UAF scholars who won the projects included Agri Engineering Faculty Dean Dr Allah Buksh, Institute of Horticulture Director Dr Aman Ullah, Department of Physics Chairman Dr Yasir Jamil, Energy System Engineering Department Chairman Dr Anjum Munir, Water Management Research Center Director Dr Hamid Shah, Dr Muhammad Sharif from Department of Animal Sciences, Dr Irfan Afzal from Department of Agronomy, etc.
