The administrator of Asia's biggest cattle market at Sohrab Goth, Irshad Ahmed, said on Wednesday that arrangements and initial work for setting up Asia's biggest cattle market at Sohrab Goth are under way.
A number of facilities have been established in order to avoid hassle, as millions of people would be coming to the mandi to buy animals, he said.

Heavy machinery and tractors are being used to clean the place. We are committed to facilitate citizens with the best services this year at the cattle market on the Super Highway to purchase sacrificial animals for Eidul Azha, he added.
We will also coordinate with the government and private institutions to serve people in a more systematic way, Ahmed said.
The market will be set up on 1,200 acres of land and its planning has been finalised. Work is under way for the necessary facilities including financial, security arrangements and lighting. Police and Rangers will take care of the security issues.
