Transfer: Sindh govt appoints new prisons DIG
Captain (retd) Pervaiz Ahmed Chandio has been transferred and posted with immediate effect

The Sindh government has appointed the Naushero Feroz SSP as the new deputy inspector-general of prisons in the Karachi region.
"Captain (retd) Pervaiz Ahmed Chandio, an officer of Police Service of Pakistan (BS-19), Superintendent of Police, Naushero Feroz, has been transferred and posted with immediate effect and until further orders as the deputy prisons IG in Karachi against an existing vacancy," read a notification issued on Wednesday by the Sindh chief secretary.
On Tuesday, the provincial government had issued a suspension order of Jails DIG Ashraf Nizamani following the recent jailbreak in which two under-trial prisoners, belonging to banned sectarian outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi managed to escape from Central Jail, Karachi last month. Nizamani was suspended following the Sindh chief minister's orders.
