TTP commander arrested in Lahore

Police also arrest two terrorists in Karachi, recovered a heavy cache of weapons from them.

LAHORE: A Tehrik-e-Taliban commander has been arrested on Friday In an operation by law enforcement agencies from Leyton Road in Lahore.

The arrested is suspected to be involved with three of his accomplices in planning attacks on shrines across the city.

The man identified as a key TTP commander has been moved to an unidentified location for further investigations.

Meanwhile, a search operation headed by Senior Superintendent Police Operations, Faisal Rana, has been launched in different parts of Lahore to arrest the other three terrorists.

Over in Karachi, police have arrested two terrorists from the Sohrab Goth area and recovered a heavy cache of weapons from them.

Police sources say that the two men belong to a Mohmand based outift of the TTP. They have been involved in kidnapping for ransom and extortion.
