KP Assembly resolves to re-open ZAB case
PML-N and JUI-F stage a walkout after clash with ANP members.
PESHAWAR:
The Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Assembly passed a resolution on Friday in favour of re-opening the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case.
The resolution, moved by the PPP, was passed during the day’s session of the provincial assembly.
The Opposition leader in the assembly opposed the resolution saying the re-opening of the case may lead to tensions between state institutions.
This triggered a clash between ANP and PML-N members that was followed by staging a walkout from the members of PML-N along with the JUI-f.
The Treasury members, having no other option, passed the resolution in the absence of the opposition.
