Quetta Court: DIG awarded 10-year sentence
Accountability court awards ten years imprisonment and fines Rs200, 000 to Deputy Inspector General.
QUETTA:
An accountability court in Quetta has awarded ten years imprisonment and a fine of Rs200, 000 to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Faqeer Hussain.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had earlier directed an investigation against the DIG for possessing assets beyond known sources of income.
The court subsequently found him guilty and directed confiscation of his bank accounts and personal assets for fine recovery. In case of non-recovery, he will face another year in prison.
Police arrested Faqeer Hussain when he came out from the courtroom and shifted him to District Jail.
