Bogus Cheque: Agriculture officer denied bail

Lahore High Court rejects the interim pre arrest bail request of Agriculture Department deputy director Tahir Faizi.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court rejected the interim pre arrest bail request of Agriculture Department deputy director Tahir Faizi, who is accused of writing a bogus cheque.

Muhammad Naveed filed a complaint against Faizi, saying he wrote him a cheque for Rs1.4 million that was dishonoured by the bank.

Faizi obtained interim pre-arrest bail from the sessions court and moved the LHC to confirm the bail. Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik dismissed the bail petition. The police arrested the accused.
