KARACHI:
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Zubair Tufail has extended felicitation to Tariq Mahmood Pasha on his appointment as Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Referring to World Bank findings regarding Pakistan’s tax-to-GDP ratio, Tufail said he hoped that the new incumbent would take long-term and short-term measures to gradually enhance its actual potential. He also urged the FBR chairman to bring all the sectors of the economy in tax-net. The FPCCI chief was confident that the existing cordial relations between the chambers and the FBR would be further enhanced for the benefit of both the stakeholders.
