Contract jobs: Education, food staffers protest

Protesters demanded that contract employees appointed in 2007 should get their jobs back

JACOBABAD:

The education department’s non-teaching staff and the food department’s lower staff organised separate protests on Thursday. The non-teaching staffers began their rally at the secondary board office, complaining that contract employees appointed in 2007 should get their jobs back.

The food staff wore black arm bands and started their rally at the District Food Office. Employees from both departments complained that despite protesting for days, the government has not fixed their problem.
