Furniture exhibition opens at Karachi Expo Centre

Local providers of home furnishings showcase work

Looking for good furniture for your newly-built house or trying to set up your office with modern lightweight furniture? Then head out to the Hall Number 6 at the Karachi Expo Centre, where the 8th Interior Exhibition is currently under way. The exhibition is offering all kinds of furniture to meet your requirements at reasonable prices.

Organised by the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC), its official sponsor, Master Molty Foam, has given an opportunity to local furniture manufacturers to introduce their work to visitors.

PFC organises 8th Interiors Pakistan Exhibition at Expo Centre

The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned businessman SM Muneer, along with PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq and other dignitaries.

Upon entering the hall, one can expect to find many designs and patterns of furniture to attract an antique furniture enthusiast. The furniture included antique designs and bright-coloured furniture made with solid wood, such as rose wood, Himalayan deodar and Burma teak.


Zubair Muahmmadi, who had come to the exhibition with his friends, was interested in office furniture. He shared that he liked the stalls of Offisys and Spirit where the furniture was of light weight. He said it would give his office space a new and fresh look.

A presenter at Interwood said that many people were interested in Interwood's outdoor items, including flooring and furniture.
Local products will soon make their worth in the international market and the furniture industry will lead Pakistan's economy and prove its potential, Ashfaq said.

He shared that PFC will continue to provide a platform for local manufacturers in order to support them in showcasing their work.

An international exhibition will also be organised soon if the government supports us, he said.

The exhibition, open to public, will continue till tomorrow (Sunday).
