You can now reply to Instagram Stories with disappearing photos, videos

Snapchat doesn't have this one!

Instagram’s is plugging disappearing photo and video messaging right into Stories.

Instagram’s attempts to move ahead of Snapchat seem to be ever-active as the photo sharing app's latest feature focuses on making disappearing photos and videos more interactive.

“Starting today, you can reply to stories with a photo or video. From selfies to Boomerangs, now you can be even more fun and playful when you respond to friends," Instagram said in a blog post.

Instagram user meltdown after app crashes

"To reply with a photo or a video, tap the new camera button while you’re watching a story”.

The new feature opens the way for the photo sharing app to "be even more fun and playful when you respond to friends" but may repel a whole lot more people to its rival Snapchat.

Instagram has boasted about its 250 million daily users but hasn’t provided the breakdown into how many use Direct. This move may certainly attract more towards its messaging service.

Meanwhile, all didn't go as plan for the Facebook-owned app as Instagram faced a bug that led people to believe that their accounts were deleted last night. Many users highlighted the problem on social media sites causing a massive outcry.
