Heavy downpour hits Sargodha

SARGODHA: Heavy downpour lashed the city, inundating low lying areas and causing traffic jams on different roads on Thursday.



Torrential rains coupled with winds started in the morning and continued for almost the whole day. Most residential areas, including, Model Town, Garden Town, Canal Park, Muslim Town, Old City, Ghani Park, New and Old Satellite towns were among the most affected localities.

Traffic jams were witnessed on University Road, Faisalabad Road, Khushab Road, Katchery Road, Jail Road, Satellite Town Chowk, Qainchi Morr and other areas. Rain turned the weather pleasant and caused a significant drop in the temperature. A large number of people came out of their homes as soon as the rain started to enjoy the weather.
