Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday presented compensatory cheques to the heirs of those who died in chairlift collapse near Murree last week.
The ceremony for distributing money among the heirs was held at the Governor House where Shehbaz handed cheques worth Rs800,000 to each of the heirs of those who had died.
The Punjab chief minister also gave away Rs300,000 each to those who were injured in the incident.
Expressing his deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
Talking to the families, Shehbaz said that the financial aid provided could not compensate for the loss of the lives of dear ones.
