While the police confirmed that the Nilore incident was a murder, they dubbed the other two as ‘drug addicts’ and suggested that they may have died due to an overdose of their addiction.

Police officials said Manazir Ali, a resident of Tumair village, had gone to the jungle on Sunday evening to collect some firewood. But when he did not return, his family grew worried and went out to search for him.

However, it was not until Monday morning that they found Ali’s body in the jungle.

Officials said that the man, who appeared to be 60-years of age, had injuries which suggested that he had been tortured and shot.

Police have registered a case for murder, but have so far not found any clue relating to the perpetrators. The case was subsequently registered against unidentified assailants.

Another man was found dead in Sector G-8/4, within the remits of Karachi Company police. Police said the deceased, who appeared to be between 35-40 years-of-age and was identified as Zaheer Abbas, was a drug addict and may have died of an overdose.
