SARGODHA: A man was gunned down over a petty dispute in Urban Area police limits on Sunday.

Police said that Abdul Ghaffar, resident of Iqbal Colony, had an argument with Kamran over a petty issue few days ago. In a bid to take revenge, Kamran shot dead Abdul Ghaffar while he was working at his shop situated on fifth Risala Road. The police have registered case against the accused and started investigation.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested 16 drug pushers and seized narcotics and illegal weapons from their possession. A police official said during ongoing drive against drug pushers, the teams of different police stations conducted raids and arrested 16 drug traffickers. The police also confiscated drugs, three guns, five pistols, cartridges and bullets from them.

The outlaws were identified as Tariq, Yasir, Saeed, Zeeshan, Ghulam Abbas, Naeem Rafique, Naeem, Muhammad Sajjad, Khalid, Muhammad Akhtar and others. Police have registered separate cases against the accused.
