Timely Results: KIU exam section computerised
KIU decides to computerise its examination section for error free and timely compilation of results.
GILGIT:
Karakoram International University (KIU) has decided to computerise its examination section for error free and timely compilation of results, officials said on Wednesday.
“The decision was made in a meeting chaired by the vice chancellor in Gilgit,” said KIU Spokesman Shahid Shigri on Wednesday.
He said that Examination Controller Shahid Ali briefed the meeting on the merits of computerising the department as a means to decrease chances of mistakes in results while ensuring timely compilation results. The spokesman said that the decision to establish a degree branch was also taken in the meeting.
Meanwhile a research paper on Gilgit-Baltistan’s media has been published in the Journal of Mass Communication, published by Karachi University. Officials said that the paper, authored by Department of Communication and Media Chairman Dr Rafiq Jullandhary, has in-depth analysis of print and electronic media in the region.
