England batsman Paul Collingwood, signed by Rajasthan Royals for the Indian Premier League 2011, has been ruled out of the tournament as he is currently suffering from an injury. Collingwood will undergo surgery for a damaged cartilage in his right knee next week, and will not recover in time for the tournament that begins tomorrow. The team’s website also confirmed that Australian seamer Ben Hilfenhaus, who was scheduled to play for Chennai Super Kings, is also out of the tournament with injury.
