Federal finance division directed G-B AGPR to stop recruitments with immediate effect.
GILGIT:
The federal finance division directed the Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Accountant General Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) to stop recruitments with immediate effect, officials said on Tuesday.
“The decision has been taken in view of the financial crunch the country is facing at the moment,” said an official, requesting anonymity. He said the order would not affect the status of the posts already announced and advertised in newspapers. The official said that the letter has been sent from the expenditure wing of the finance department in Islamabad, advising the G-B government not to purchase new vehicles and furniture for offices.
The government has also been asked to curtail 50 per cent of the expenditure on POL and TA/DA of the officials.
