Nargis Sethi launches a two-day special polio campaign.
ISLAMABAD:
Federal Health Secretary Nargis Sethi launched a two-day special polio campaign at the Children’s Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).
Speaking on the occasion, the health secretary said this campaign is being held under the National Emergency Action Plan on Polio Eradication approved by the prime minister in January.
Dr Altaf Bosan, national manager of the polio programme, said that 10 districts of Punjab, 18 of Sindh, 12 of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 16 of Balochistan, seven agencies of Fata and the Islamabad Capital Territory would participate in the vaccination campaign.
