According to official documents, so far textbooks of up to grade V have been revised. The documents mentioned that new books are easier to understand and structured in a manner that will help students conceptually instead of promoting rote learning.

The documents also stated that the education department also conducted a uniform and universal examination for grade V in all public and private schools. The purpose of the examinations was to improve the quality of education in the province since the assessments provided information about shortcomings which was helping planners to address service delivery in an effective manner.
