Clerk, sanitary inspector arrested
The suspect took Rs5,000 bribe from the student for leaking exam papers.

As part of a campaign against corruption, a junior clerk of a college and tehsil sanitary inspector were arrested for taking bribe in Lodhran District on Monday.
An official told The Express Tribune that anti-corruption assistant director and Special Judicial Magistrate Saeed Ilyas Mian raided Government Degree College and nabbed Junior Clerk Waseem Akhtar for taking bribe from a student. The official added the suspect took Rs5,000 bribe from the student for leaking exam papers.

Meanwhile, in another raid by anti-corruption officials, Sanitary Inspector Rizwan Babar was arrested. An official of anti-corruption department said accused Rizwan conducted a raid at a factory which was producing substandard material but he did not seal the factory neither registered a case against the factory owner.
He maintained that the accused called factory owner Muhammad Khalid and asked him to pay Rs50,000 bribe. Later, Khalid informed the officials of anti-corruption department, who took immediate action and caught the accused red-handed while taking bribe.
