Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan had also demanded action against Mehsud following the incident.

Nearly a dozen people were injured after youths resorted to firing following Pakistan cricket team’s historic win. The metropolis echoed with gunshots soon after the team routed their arch rivals by 180 runs in an astonishing match at The Oval in London.

Mehsud, a former member of the Sindh Assembly, had quit the Awami National Party in 2014 to join the PPP.
