Postings: Two suspended officials get new LDA jobs

Several suspended officials of LDA facing departmental actions in the high rise building case, transferred and posted.

Several officials of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) including two who were suspended and facing departmental actions in the high rise building case were transferred and posted on Tuesday after the directions from the LDA director general, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen.


Chaudhry Muhammad Akram has been posted as the chief town planner in place of Waseem Ahmad Khan, who has now been posted as the chief metropolitan planner. The additional charge of the metropolitan director have been transferred from Tariq Mehmood, commercialisation director, and given to Khalid Lodhi, the town planning director II. Khalid Mehmood Sheikh has been posted as the town planning III director. Akram and Sheikh were among those 33 LDA officials who were suspended by special inquiry committee constituted by the chief minister. They were suspended from the same posts on charges of corruption in December 2009.
