Karachi University (KU) Director of Admissions Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi announced the admissions of the masters and diploma evening programmes for the session 2017-18.

In the masters’ programme, admissions are being offered in administrative sciences, agriculture and agribusiness management, applied mathematics, applied physics, applied statistics, BEd in special education and teachers’ education, botany, chemistry, commerce (general and insurance), criminology, economics, economics and finance, education, English, English language and literature, environmental studies, health, physical education and sports sciences, human resource management, industrial and business maths, international relations, Islamic learning, MPharm (pharmacology, pharmaceutics and pharmacognocy), library and information sciences, mass communication, microbiology, petroleum technology, physics (with specialisation in electronics and communication), physiology, population sciences, political science, public policy, psychology, Quran-o-Sunnah, remote sensing and geographical information system, sociology, space science and technology, transport management, Urdu and women and gender studies.
A one year diploma is being offered in applied genetics, computer and information sciences, contemporary Arabic, investigative psychology, Persian, petroleum technology, criminology, environmental studies, inclusive education, industrial and organization psychology, functional Arabic, Quranic Arabic language, sports administration and management, assessment, counselling and psychotherapy and Urdu (for foreigners only).
2,941 students appear for KU’s entrance tests
While, a one year diploma leading to a masters’ degree is being offered in audiology and speech pathology, economics and finance, human resource management, public administration, public policy, public administration and public policy analysis, special education, local government and administration and supply chain management.
Admission forms can be collected and submitted from today (Monday) till July 12 from 9:30am to 5pm from the UBL Campus Branch, while from 8:30am to 1:30pm in Ramazan from UBL counter located at the Silver Jubilee gate for Rs1,500.
The Karachi University Business School has also announced its specialised degree programme fall intake. Admissions in MBA, both the one-and-a-half year and two-and-a-half year programmes, in marketing, human resource management, finance and investments, Islamic banking, supply chain management and project and industrial management will be given.
Classes will be held on weekends and in the evening. Interested students may download the admission forms from the varsity’s official website and submit the forms from tomorrow (Tuesday) till July 12 at the UBL branches situated at Silver Jubilee Gate KU, Campus Branch KU, Nazimabad Chowrangi Branch and PIDC House Branch during banking hours. All MBA programs are equivalent to MS and are eligible to get admissions to PhD programmes. Aptitude tests will be held on Sunday, July 23 at 2pm at the business school.
