Says Sharif family believes in the process of accountability

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri on Saturday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his sons and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif have set a new precedent by appearing before the joint investigation team (JIT) investigating their offshore assets.

Praising them for appearing before the JIT without any protocol and recording their statements, he said it was a history occasion that an elected and sitting prime minister had appeared before the court.


He said that the Sharif family believed in the process of accountability and were not involved in any corrupt practices, adding that their business matters were being highlighted in the media for no reason.

He said those levelling corruption allegations would not be able to find anything as “their allegations are shallow”, adding that by respecting judiciary, the political stature of the Sharif family had further increased.

He said the masses would reject false allegations levelled against the Sharif family in 2018 elections.
