Shaheen Air adds fifth Airbus A319
A319 is a short to medium range aircraft with a capacity of 150 passengers
KARACHI:
Shaheen Air International (SAI) has added another Airbus A319 to its fleet, taking the total count to five, as it looks to increase market share in the Pakistani airspace.
A319 is a short to medium range aircraft with a capacity of 150 passengers. According to a company statement, the airline wants to keep expanding its operation on domestic and international routes.
The airline will receive two more A319s in the current calendar year. Possessing a higher number of aircraft will allow the company to cope with increased local and international demand for air travel.
CAA rejects Shaheen Air's allegations about new routes delay
It has so far focused on expanding its operations in the Far East apart from catering to 13 other international destinations along with seven domestic ones. The airline began its journey as Pakistan’s first private airline 24 years ago and now has a fleet of 26 aircraft.
