The planning and development department has been ordered to issue posting orders of a petitioner who was offered a job as an enumerator in the department under the caretaker set-up but was later dismissed when the government changed.
A division bench of the Sindh High Court heard the petition on Tuesday. Munawwar Alam, a resident of Karachi, moved the court through his counsel Naveed Ali Khokhar. He maintained that in 2007, he was offered the job of an enumerator in the department but was passed off later on.
The Additional Advocate General, Sindh, representing the Sindh government, told the court that the SHC had issued posting orders in similar petitions, after which the bench allowed the petition on grounds of ‘consistency’.
