HARIPUR: Shahzad Bukhari, the Haripur district police officer, on Wednesday said that police was investigating the murder of journalist Bakhsheesh Elahi from all angles and it would be wrong to jump to conclusions. He urged people, particularly the media, to avoid speculations over the case. “We will bring the culprits to justice but at the same time will try our best not to hurt any innocent people,” he said talking to the media in his office. Regarding the late journalist, the DPO said he too was shocked to hear the news, “but it will be wrong to attribute the murder to some personal grudge or political issue before the conclusion of a police probe.” DPO Bukhari said Elahi, before his murder, had not shared anything with the police which might indicate any threat to his life.
