Murray heads to Monte Carlo

Britain’s Andy Murray will bid to play his way out of his slump.

MONTE CARLO:
Britain’s Andy Murray will bid to play his way out of his slump by taking up a wildcard for the Monte Carlo Masters. Murray’s season has been dismal since making it through to the final of the Australian Open.

The Scot was a surprise climber in the world rankings to number four, despite being dumped out of the Miami Masters at the first hurdle by Alex Bogomolov. He has since split with his coach Alex Corretja and is now training his sights on the second major of the year at the French Open. The Monte Carlo Masters, which begins on April 9, will also see Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer in action.
