KKH to remain partially closed for traffic

Routine traffic on the road is expected to be restored from June 18

The Karakoram Highway will remain partially closed for traffic for five days. The highway will remain suspended from 5am to 8am every morning for the remainder of the week owing to construction work on the Dasu Hydropower Project in the Barsin area of Upper Kohistan, Radio Pakistan reported. Police have advised tourists and local commuters to restrict their travel on the road during the night and especially during the closure hours. Routine traffic on the road is expected to be restored from June 18.
