Health dept directed to clear dues before 20th
Timely reporting of drug samples by all the drug DTLs must be ensured as no delay in DTLs report will be acceptable.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Punjab Ali Jan Khan has directed all the chief executive officers of the District Health Authority to clear all the cheques of procurements including medicines purchase by June 20.
He said this while presiding over a meeting of CEOs of all the district health authorities in Punjab at a local hotel on Sunday.
He said efficient use of funds of development schemes must be ensured in a transparent way and the officers should personally supervise the construction work for timely completion of the schemes.
Ali said the CEOs should fully cooperate to ensure handing over of Basic Health Units of Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP) to Punjab Health Facilities Management Company (PHFMC) by July 1 according to the timeline.

He further directed the officials to conduct effective indoor and outdoor dengue surveillance to control the dengue virus.
He made it clear that responsibility of negligence would be fixed in the light of report of the inquiry committee headed by Prof Faisal Masood and action would be taken against the people responsible.
“Timely reporting of drug samples by all the drug testing laboratories (DTLs) must be ensured as no delay in DTLs report will be acceptable,” he said.
The secretary health said special attention should be paid for further improving the routine immunisation coverage under EPI programme for ensuring healthy future generation.
He said that micro planning of immunisation should be given more attention for making things better. Ali stressed the need for regular monitoring and supervision for speeding up the revamping of the DHQ and THQ hospitals.
