Resource Management: Arid University passes Rs2b budget
The budget was approved in the Finance and Planning Committee meeting

The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid-Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) on Friday approved it budget of Rs2.05 billion for financial year. The budget was approved in the Finance and Planning Committee meeting, held at the main campus, chaired by the Vice Chancellor Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad. The committee included representative members of the university syndicate and the government departments representatives from agriculture and finance departments. The panel estimated that the public sector varsity responsible for education and research in arid agriculture would bear expenditure worth around Rs2.05 billion in 2017-18 while its estimated income would be Rs2.049 billion. The varsity expects a grant of Rs701.026 million from the Higher Education Commission and Rs78.423 million grant from the Punjab government.
