SARGODHA: The Food Department has set up six wheat purchasing centres at Bhulwal Tehsil and Kotmoman, where purchasing will start by April 17. Talking to reporters on Monday, Food Inspector Aslam Mela said that three purchase centers at Bhalwal city, Phularwan and Miani have been established for purchasing 18,000 tons of wheat in Bhulwal Tehsil. An additional three purchasing centers at Kotmoman, Sial Morr and Jalalpur have been set up for purchase of 15,000 metric tons of wheat. Mela said famers will be provided with eight bags per acre by the revenue department.
