Ogra rejects proposal to raise gas tariffs
LAHORE:
The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) had submitted proposals to Ogra for an increase in domestic gas tariffs by up to 22 per cent.
The proposals were accepted for adjudication by the authority and public hearings were conducted in this regard. After two weeks of discussions, Ogra turned down the proposals of the SSGC and the SNGPL. The gas companies maintained that the reasons for the proposals were increased maintenance expenses and other nondevelopmental expenditures.
