Human Smuggling: Special branch staff suspected
FIA arrests two men on charges of travelling to Canada on forged passports.
KARACHI:
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two men, Khalid Iqbal Khan and Mohammad Majid, on charges of travelling to Canada on forged passports.
Both men told immigration officials that they had paid Rs1.5 million to human smugglers Aijaz and Malik Fayaz and that security clearance was given by sub-inspectors of the special branch, Rao Akram and Raja Amir.
Special branch officials also allegedly pressured the FIA to release the two men but they refused and handed them over to the anti-human smuggling department.
