Science Quiz: Staying informed to meet challenges

The winning teams, BSTR-P, BSS-Mardan and BSS-Peshawar Cantt, were awarded certificates, shields and trophies.

Apart from studies in schools, students should stay informed of international and regional affairs and scientific discoveries to meet future challenges.

This was stated by Head of the Computer Department at National University of Modern Sciences (NUST) Dr Amir Hayat, while speaking at an inter-provincial science quiz competition on Monday.

The students proved their mettle by answering questions related to global issues, environment, diseases, plants and animal behaviours.  The programme was arranged by the Beaconhouse School System’s Primary Branch Satellite Town. The programme aimed at triggering students’ interest towards science and to enhance their analytical skills.

The winning teams, BSTR-P, BSS-Mardan and BSS-Peshawar Cantt, were awarded certificates, shields and trophies.
