Collaboration : UNDP, FCCI work to achieve SDGs
Says UNDP can help local entrepreneurs improve their efficiency with innovation and technology upgrades

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in collaboration with Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and the government will help the private sector gear up economic activities in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the shortest possible time, said Farrukh Moriani Senior Advisor Private Sector Engagement for SDGs.
Sindh will achieve SDGs, says minister
During his visit to FCCI, Moriani held detailed discussions with vice president Ahmad Hassan to mobilise the private sector and launch national initiatives for SDGs. Commenting on the importance and relevance of textile industry in Faisalabad, he said that UNDP can help local entrepreneurs improve their efficiency with innovation and technology upgrades to enhance its share in export of textile products.
Also speaking on the occasion, Hassan said that technical education is imperative to boost economic development but despite its importance, the duration of technical courses has been reduced from one year to 6 months.
