GCUF approves Rs5.5 billion budget

The meeting also approved 10% increase in the salaries in consonance of the Punjab government policy

The Government College University Faisalabad has approved Rs5.5 billion budget for the year 2017-2018 and 5% increase in the tuition fee of all courses with effect of the admission courses offered after the summer vacation.

The budget was approved at the 49th meeting of syndicate committees chaired by GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali.

The syndicate meeting also decided to forfeit the annual increments of Dr Laeeq Ahmad of Department of Zoology’s for five years as the penalty who was found guilty during departmental inquiry for various charges, including abuse of powers.

The meeting also approved 10% increase in the salaries in consonance of the Punjab government policy announced during the annual budget for the year 2017-2018. The meeting also directed to set up a committee to investigate various charges of misuse of powers and other allegations against Dr Javaid Anjum.
