Couple swindled out of Rs6 million
When the couple disembarked the suspect sped away with the car and Rs6 million which they had to pay for the house.

Police are on the lookout for a property dealer who swindled a couple out of Rs6 million and a car a few days ago. According to a complaint lodged by the couple with the Sihala police, they were going from DHA Phase-II to Sawan Garden to make payment for a house there on June 1.
The car in which they were travelling belonged to the couple but was being driven by the suspect, identified as Aamir Shah. When they reached Kaak Pul, the suspect stopped the car saying it had developed some fault and asked its owner, the victim, to push the vehicle.
Six swindlers held, valuables recovered
His wife also disembarked so that the car’s engine could start. However, when the couple disembarked the suspect sped away with the car and Rs6 million which they had to pay for the house they were purchasing.
The incident was reported to the police and a case was lodged at Sihala police station.
A police officer told The Express Tribune that the car was later recovered from Koral area. The suspect had left it there. Police have also located the suspect’s family in Rawat but have found no clue on his whereabouts yet. “We will analyse his mobile phone record and try to track him down,” said a Sihala police official.
