SNGPL adds 34,000 new connections
SNGPL had set a target of 45,000 new gas connections in the region despite shortage of meters
MULTAN:
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) General Manager Multan Region Amjad Mumtaz said on Friday that 34,000 new domestic connections had been given to people so far. He said the SNGPL had set a target of 45,000 new gas connections in the region despite shortage of meters. Mumtaz said the installation process had been slow due to a delay in the procurement of new meters by the head office. He hoped that the target would be achieved by the end of the fiscal year. Mumtaz added that gas supply with good pressure was being provided to domestic consumers during Sehar and Iftar while 25 emergency teams have been constituted to check supply in Ramazan. He said a complaint cell was also functional at the central office.
