Minister wants speedy compensation for victims of train accident

The official maintained the passenger van was completely destroyed due to the impact of the accident. He pointed out the tuck driver fled the scene after the mishap. However, raids were being conducted to arrest him.

Earlier, a train crushed two motorised rickshaws on an ungated crossing, killing seven schoolchildren in Lodhran district, police said.

The police said the rickshaw drivers apparently misjudged the speed of the coming train due to heavy fog while attempting to cross the tracks.
